I don't like the new moving objects gimmick because to get the fastest time, you have to wait for the best cycle, and waiting is not really what you would want in a game entirely about speed

Great speed game. A lot of my high scores are in the 100s or 50s in ranking. You can definitely feel the momentum of using the grapple hook. My only complaints are that the FOV isn't adjustable, and the pixel filter can't be reduced in the settings in some way.
The loop level is my favorite, because I actively tried to think of strategies to save as much time as possible. Skim your head on the first platform on (or on the side of) the guardrail, grapple the next platform, skim the point, grapple to the next point, get just enough momentum so that you don't need to grapple to the second to last point, and then fall as soon as possible. It's very precise in planning where to go and grappling to move as fast as possible.
even though it does show the times in the game, it would be cool if there was an actual speedrun.com page where you could see the runs and learn from them

Came to from yahi or not, this game is a must play if you like games that encourage you to try your best and beat your previous record. of course you can also just stay and play the game as normal but where's the fun in that?. I'll see you all when the game is on speedrun.com

The flow of the game is almost entirely dependent on how you're used to the controls by the time you try to aim for the coveted 1st place. That's not a bad thing at all, since you're learning how the game works so you can get better times later on. I can definitely see this as the next speedrun game to come out soon enough, if there's demand for more of this.
First off, Shift Key is now your best friend. You wanna run? Shift and go. Extra speed, perhaps? Shift. Wanna drink after holding Shift for awhile? Use crouch key from Minecraft lol.
Second, my inputs from before i die/restart don't get retained/continued when i do want to start again. goofy ahh inputs be drinkin that wine brooooo. pls fix?
And finally, can there be options to see some kind of shadow of where your hooks' gonna aim? Y'know, "assist features" to help out the people that are used to Uno more than they are Celeste C-sides? Maybe also add in a resolution scale; from the low-res of now, to native screen size? This one's more of a personal want for me, more than a serious nitpick. I know you ain't no AAA dev, and I'm not asking you to be. I'm displaying a genuine comment, to the best of my capabilities, without trying too much to sound like a douchebag.
I'd give it a strong 8 for the charming visuals and gnarly movement in-game. Takes time to really grind, but hey. That's practicing.

because you can't save stuff in web versions its a software limitation I think unless this guy is using a different save system than I am thinking
